Sources of Conflict: Explore the root causes of interpersonal conflict, approaches to resolving conflict, and your conflict management style.
Individual Values: Examines the root of potential conflict in a diverse population by understanding the “Core Values” we hold as individuals. Learn techniques for reconciling value conflicts and appreciating value differences.
Listening for Clarification: Use questioning and responsive listening techniques to clarify and define conflict situations. Learn to define conflict situations from the point of view of each party to the conflict, seeking to understand before being understood.
Style Differences: Assess behavioral preferences and conflict management styles in a diverse work force. Each individual brings a unique set of skills to the company and contributes in her or his own way.
Corporate Impact Resolving Conflict provides an understanding of the sources and impacts of conflict, the skills to resolve conflict, and the skills to coach others through the process of conflict resolution.
Interpersonal Negotiations: Practice the NERV communication model, to clarify current communication or conflict issues and improve on them. NERV is a one-on-one negotiation model in which team members clarify needs, expectations, rights, and values.
Coaching in Conflict Situations: Coaching skills to help co-workers and subordinates resolve conflict. The skills and knowledge acquired in previous modules are revisited from the perspective of “How can I facilitate or mediate conflict resolution".
