Collaborative Problem Solving from Corporate Impact
“Root Cause Problem Solving and Decision Making”
Collaborative Problem Solving is an application based workshop that provides a rational guide to clarifying concerns, solving problems, making decisions, and managing risk, as one works toward goal achievement.  In a world of pressing problems demanding action today, Collaborative Problem Solving provides the ability to quickly assess, analyze and act.  As an application based workshop, participants will learn problem solving by solving problems that are real to their everyday working lives.
CLARIFY CONCERNS Allows you to examine the “big picture” and break complex concerns down to clearly defined, single issues.  Using clarity of definition and Parato techniques to guide the thinking process, Clarify Concerns prioritizes issues for action.
DETERMINE CAUSE: This module examines the three principle methods for finding the root cause of a problem (experiential analysis, force field analysis, and the Rand Model).  The fact is, no one problem solving method is best for every situation.  Whether working alone or in participation with others, we need to apply the problem solving approach best suited to the situation and the skills of the group.

MAKE DECISIONS:
In this module, participants learn to form clear objectives, balance risk and benefits, and systematically evaluate alternatives to insure sound decision making.  The decision making process forms a powerful common language for effective decision making across the organization and with your customer base.
IMPLEMENT DECISIONS: This module insures plans and decisions will be successfully implemented by managing risks and capitalizing on opportunities.  The very best of decisions become bad decisions when poorly implemented.  Implement decisions teaches the planning and risk avoidance skills to insure the success of your decisions.

PARTICIPATION:
Problem solving is rarely a solitary activity.  In each module of the workshop we study how one involves others in the problem solving and decision making process.  In addition, each individual brings a unique point of view to the situation.  Participation teaches participants how to recognize, appreciate, and capitalize on differing points of view.
